Long Teaching Day

In the City this morning in my undergraduate Planetary Thinking and Environmental Justice course we are tackling George Lakoff (who honestly doesn't impress me very much) and Bruno Latour (who honestly does) on the discourse of political ecology, and then a bit later in my graduate survey of Critical Theory, after months of a course of preoccupied with fetishisms (ressimentimental, Marxist, post-Marxist, psychoanalytic, racial), we have arrived at David Harvey on the technological fetish, as well as pieces by Hannah Arendt, C.S. Lewis, and Slavoj Zizek on the prosthetic productions of posthumanity. Six hours of lecture, at least three commuting, office hours crammed in between, as on most Fridays all this will likely mean blogging will be low to no. Hope all is well in your worlds.
