Long Day Ahead

End of term days get crowded. Later this morning a grad student is showing his work for his final review, later on a fraught faculty senate meeting awaits. The rain is coming down again like crazy today. Already the storm grates along my block are confounded and the sidewalks and stubby driveways in front of the houses are moated. No handsome gondolier offering to pole me to the BART station as far as I can see. Dawnless, daunting morning.
