Twitter Has Finally Justified Its Existence

Actually trying to watch a Republican Presidential debate these days is like staring at the Medusan Ambassador in that Star Trek episode starring the woman who went mad without the funky red visor and as a result went on to become an evil lawyer on LA Law before falling down an elevator shaft -- and let that be a lesson to you all, Republican assholes… Um, anyway, my point being that watching these death dealing dimwits who think they should be President drives you

stark raving mad in something like a split second. But as merrily we scroll along, reading politically informed lefties snark through one of these debates in real time on twitter, one is actually provided all the nitty-gritty (can you believe I almost used the word "substance" there?) while constantly being reminded and reassured that there really is intelligence and decency and beauty in the world even while these assholes howl and bray.
