Hey Dale - I'm new to this so my concern might be a silly one, but I'm unable to get through when I try calling Rep. Barbara Lee - there's always a busy signal. I started trying about a week ago after being prompted to do so by the Courage Campaign. Is this normal? Should I just keep on trying, or do you think I'm doing something wrong (besides having the wrong number, which is definitely not the case)?

Elizabeth Weckhurst (i've never meant to hide behind "liz")

Hey, Liz, you're lucky like me -- Barbara Lee is one of the few Representatives who can be counted upon more often than not to do the right thing. In the past I have not had a problem reaching Lee's office, possibly it's some infrastructure failure given that we live in the glorious digital future now, and all. Keep at it. Also, by the way, it is excellent to hear you were prompted to make your call by the Courage Campaign. They do great work. By the way -- good to hear from you, hope all is well in your world these days.

Of course the analogy breaks down due to the fact
that crayons don't actually "live" anywhere.

It's a difference that makes all the difference
in the world.

I thought that was why the Crayola guys included that handy sharpener with the box...
